my friend and I have dinners and beds at auberge de la nowa booked while on the tour du mont blanc. we booked the day by phone, but when we arrived at the venue shortly before 19 o'clock, we were told that there was no place for...we had, as an online booking was made and this priority took place. Apparently, the employee we talked about was new and hasn't checked. At first we had taken care of ourselves when we had walked there at 11 hours, but they told us they had found a bed near us in another hostel, so we were relieved. they said if we were waiting about 15 minutes their boss would drive us to the next home (they made that they would do us a great gunst for us, otherwise we must pay 50...

I stayed here on day 7 of a tour du Mont Blanc with a large group. We had been warned that this was the most basic of all the accommodation we would stay in and there was likely to be no wifi or phone reception....It is the most remote part of the tour so this was not any great surprise. For 2 Euros you can use the landline if necessary. Boots are not allowed inside so you leave them in the boot room and can take a pair of crocs to wear. I had a twin room with a sink and shared bathroom. We arrived late in the day and there was no hot water but I didn't mind this. The bed was comfortable. Eric (the owner of this horrendous establishment should not be in hospitality. Truly the worst service of any place I've spent money to stay in. The private rooms are laughably small, towels scratchy and mildewy, the shower flooded our room though the bathroom wall and...they provide exactly one tiny packet of shampoo/soap/body wash. The single beds are the size of a cot and springy and the shared toilets leave much to be desired. Worst of all the water was mysteriously shut off in the middle of the night so you could not flush the one shared toilet or even wash your hands after using the loo! I guess the fairest point I can do is that we have chosen the auberge as we stayed here eight years ago and had very nice memories of it. next time I will choose another option. at the arrival were first impressions bad with many. fly in and around the (outside) opposite. we also had flying in our bedroom, which was not great. I don't know why it was clean. the mgmt has to invest some money in the treatment as damaging. I have no doubt the only reason this place earns enough money to pay its bills is because it's well-situated. At least it's not because the place has welcoming and friendly staff. When doing the Tour du Mont Blanc, it is literally one of the...first places you see where one can have a refreshing drink/beer and some food after a long distance of walking. Well this was where we were booked by our adventure company and we had to make do. It's a compact place with tiny rooms and dormitories with bunk beds with rather shabby linen. The common toilets could be kept better. There is an open area...to sit and cool off. The dinner was fine, but the breakfast below par. A bit of effort and a more welcoming manner could make it a far better place to stay.
This place was extremely basic for the price you pay, and the lady who was working there was one of the rudest people I've ever met in my life. Be aware there is no wifi, if that's important to you. If you're doing the TMB...I would recommend staying in the Chambres du Soleil next door or the refuge des Mottets a bit further up the path.

eating was just great. nothing imaginative and complex, simply good and generous. the dining room is beautiful and feels good. the owner and the cook white and likes his job: it tastes! the breakfast was really good.
We stayed here for a night on our walk around Mt Blanc . Private room with shared bathroom was clean and comfortable . Evening meal was delicious . Staff very friendly and helpful . Breakfast was great .
