The setting outside tables under the shade of massive plane trees on the banks of the Sèvre-Niortaise river- is gorgeous. And the fixed price lunch we had was uniformly excellent and inventive, with the exception of my dessert, which tbh was a bit of...a dud. So why only ? It's all a bit serious and po-faced. The staff are attentive, polite and professional, but the atmosphere lacks that happy buzz that the really *really* top places all seem to have. I'd also forget going if you can't eat outside. The interior is indentikit designer-posh and a bit gloomy for my taste. But outside has a definite wow-factor. Just wish they'd all loosen-up a bit..
Right next to the River. A little fancy, so not somewhere we would usually take the kids. Family booked for a birthday celebration. Disappointed regarding service time. We were a large group and had been advised we needed a set menu prior to dining. It...took more than an hour for entree to be served and then another plus minutes between entree and main. When the food arrived, it was good. Portion size was good, as was flavour. Staff weren't very friendly or engaging, very unwelcoming towards the children we had with our group. Birthday cake was Wouldn't come back for service, however the location and food were great
Five of us came here to celebrate my birthday and the food was second to none. We chose the 'taster' menu that included small portions of all the menus available and I lost track of the servings. The service and quality of food was exceptional...in every respect and it is no wonder that this Restaurant is so highly rated. TIP. If your car has a wide wheelbase do not attempt to cross the narrow bridge. We managed it but only just
Wow, we loved this restaurant off the beaten track- the food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the entree and mains of the day- duck terrine, fish (Julienne de Lyne, a local catch) and the chicken- juicy, flavoursome and executed with a love for the...produce. Run by a passionate maître d chef, and set in a stunning location by the river. We’re so glad we made this small detour whilst journeying from Bordeaux to Chambord

If you are ever in the Area and you don't visit this Restaurant then you have missed something very Special. The presentation,combination and Taste is Excellent. The Service was attentative and the Wine for a Restaurant of this Quality are very reasonably priced. For us...the Quality,Price and the surroundings just very Special
We were recommend this restaurant and were not disappointed. Parking was a confusion, but parked alongside the river under the trees. We had an excellent lunch day under the canopy of the trees looking out over the river. Good food and wine. Accommodated us with...our dog without issue. Will be back
Amazing food in a beautiful location. We both had fois gras with sturgeon and Clementine followed by belly pork. Then I had a chocolate bombe and he had a lemon one. Wines to accompany. The restaurant is marooned in the river. Tricky to get to...but worth the effort if you like gourmet food
Well worth seeking this lovely restaurant out. We had a family lunch there under the poplar trees by the water. The food was delicious with the right amount of choice and the sommelier was very helpful. Not cheap but well worth it. The service was...excellent and friendly

Exceptional restaurant, you will not be disappointed, been four times now and the quality, presentation and service Is the same each visit. We ate outside by a river and lock, beautiful setting. No hesitation in recommending as one of our top rated restaurants
The euro set menu at lunch is worth a go. The setting is lovely next to the river. The food was good the best value for money experienced in France
