Hier wird noch mit Liebe und sehr persönlich gekocht. In der Gaststube hat es nur etwa 8-10 Tische, ich nehme an, das Besitzerpaar wohnt und arbeitet gleich hier. Wir wählten Truthahnfilet mit Salat und Reis und Entrecôte mit Pommes frites. Beides wurde schnell serviert und zum ersten und einzigen Mal in unseren Frankreichferien auf wirklich heissen Tellern. Sehr gut und abwechslungsreich gewürzt. Dessert: Glace du ferme. Aufgepasst bei der Crème chantilly, die ist hier immer gesüsst. Für Gäste der Villa Port Winston gibts ein "Trou Normande", ein Calvados zum Dessert. Santé! Die Auberge ist sehr zu empfehlen, v.a. wenn man mal genug hat von Meeresgetier und ein rechtes Stück Fleisch will.
Restaurant recommended by our host at La Gentilhommiere in Manvieux, not far away. The food was amazing, tasty, and beautifully presented. Loved the apple sorbet with Calvados! Just one waitress looking after about 22 people working quickly and efficiently and always smiling. Longing for our next holiday in France so that we can go back to this lovely little restaurant.
If you can find Ryes you will find the restaurant. There is not a lot else there, but find it and eat the food is superb. Not fast service but everything is freshly cooked and the quality is great.Weekends it's busy so look it up and book to ensure you can get a table. The locals eat here and they class it as good, and they are right.
