Stopped for quick lunch on way to Bamboo Gardens. No shortage of places to eat in Anduze but finally opted for this one as varied menu and the plat de juer' was more to our liking. Steak was perfectly cooked and mouth wateringly succulent! Great...ingredients, home cooked food, and excellent value. The owner/manager also very friendly and welcoming. Glad we picked it.
We opted for the set menu at €16.50. It was pretty disappointing the Papeton of aubergine was tasteless, the sausage came with honey potatoes which had clearly been left to cool and reheated, the tomato garnish was just nasty. The chocolate Fondant (cake) was...stodgy and tasteless. One to avoid.
I say surprisingly because it's rating is not that high. We went here because the more highly rated places were full and the food was excellent, very tasty, the people friendly and the prices good. Really nothing bad to say

four of us came to lunch and we were all happy. the salade mixte and the sausage game were excellent. the moules were good. the service was friendly and the a/c was nice. we had a pleasant time.
we stopped here on the way to the musee du desert, millet, and enjoyed a huge ice cream and a pretty good coffee. the service was good and the outsiders were right to watch the world.
