We were taken here by business associates. It did not dissapoint. They have a very nice menu and have many traditional french dishes. They also are experimenting with molecular cuisine. We stuck with the tradional (although they did sneak in a few molecular treats with...the amuse bouche). Our associate told us that they may be in line for a Michelin star and I believe it. It is in a village out side of Lille and they also have a brasserie (and it is in a small inn). Val d"auge would still be my first choice, but this is excellent.
We stayed at the Auberge overnight, and decided to eat in the gastronomic restaurant, as opposed to the Bistro. The service was good,the food superb and well presented, and the overall ambience of the restaurant very pleasant. The amuse bouche was a foam dish- interesting!...We asked the sommelier to provide an appropriate glass of wine with each course, and his selection was spot on. We had eaten the previous night at Loiseau Des Vignes in Beaune- this meal was better.
We spent a very pleasant evening at the gastronomic restaurant, in an elegant setting. Very good table! original and refined cuisine for an affordable price (gastronomic menu at € excluding drinks). a special mention to the sommelier who really does the work. We tasted excellent wines. very good experience.
this place has classic rooms that are well equipped. there is a beautiful bar/bistro, which serves typical French dishes of good quality. there is also a molecular restaurant I've never been, but looks very good. the personal is friendly, but above all. speaking French.

large bedroom, excellent bedding. Dinner at the gastronomic restaurant. good season products well prepared. exceptional breakfast. Smoked salmon and homemade cake, a pleasure. a young woman very attentive to the well-being of her guests. Thanks to her.
We went to Lille specially to eat at the Auberge du Forgeron ...and it was worth the trip ! Excellent service and fantastic gastronomic experience ... Highly recommended .
