Really pretty place with the terrace right by the river. Food is very good, tasty and well presented with some interesting flavour combinations such as melon anise sorbet. The head chef came out to deliver the amuse bouche personally and spent time talking to us about produce which was a lovely touch. The only reason I have marked it down is the toilets are upstairs so it wasn't as accessible as it could be However, the staff happily drove the golf buggy round to the front entrance where the toilets are on the same level (the terrace and restaurant are a level down) and then it's a short distance to the toilets. I attended Auberge Du Lac for Sunday Lunch on 5th May 2019 with my husband and parents as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. Everything from our arrival to departure was wonderful. The service was excellent and the food beautiful. The lounge where we took pre lunch drinks was lovely and the dining room overlooking the lake second to none. I would like to mention one member of the team in particular Emma who was so friendly and helpful. She really couldn't do enough for us and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

An outstanding restaurant in terms of food, setting, and service. The set menus are inexpensive for this standard but you can spend a lot on drinks. On this occasion we had the three course set lunch at £29.50 each with a Prosecco at £11.50, non alcohol drink at £8.50 , then coffee and tip the bill came out at £96. I have eaten at quite a few Michelin stars restaurants over the years and Auberge du Lac is in that league. Presentation, flavour, and texture as you would expect.

Lovely place. We had the tasting menu without wine. The food was excellent apart from the meat which was ruined by using the dreadful water bath cooking method, rendering the meat tasteless and over cooked. Everything else was perfect but just beware eating lamb or beef. I didn’t try the pork. Reserva una mesa ahora

The meal ended with the waiting staff disappearing, and we had to search for them to settle the bill. This level of service is not expected at a restaurant of this caliber. Nevertheless, the food was excellent.
