We stayed in the nearby Hotel Nuit de Retz. A very short walk to the Restaurant Auberge. Quite a large room but lacking just a little in character. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I had the whole crab starter (see photo) which was very well presented and was fresh and flavoursome. The restaurant did not supply the cutlery pick normally supplied with crab or lobster, which was not such a good decision, and I was left only with the cracker and a knife to do the business. My partner had a foie gras de canard which was good. For mains, I had a ribs dish which was tasty.
