Driving down the D5 to Cherveix Cubas you will find the restaurant at the ’T’ Junction with the D704 and situated on the bend just across the River Auvezere. There is parking behind the restaurant although it is not too obvious nor is it well sign-posted but there is also plenty of free parking at the side of the D5 opposite.As you enter it has a modern contemporary and clean feel with black tiled floor, to the side there is an extremely spacious and light filled conservatory area overlooking the river bank. Although we have a house nearby, this was the first time we had got around to visiting the Auberge Du Pont in many years (since it was Les Charmettes) We took some friends to celebrate my wife's birthday, and had a very enjoyable evening. The food was good, with a reasonable choice. The restaurant is clean and spacious with nice views over the river. Service was excellent, both prompt and friendly. We considered it to be good value for money, and will certainly visit again. We were down in the Dordogne area just overnight and recommended to go to Auberge Du Pont for dinner as it was near the B&B we were staying. We had a great meal service excellent and food really good. Nothing fancy, but just good home cooked food. I had an entrecôte steak which was lovely and perfectly cooked the way I asked. My husband had fish and chips which he said was excellent. The only negative I can think of is that we found the lighting too bright and with the lack of music, there wasn’t any atmosphere in the place. Turning the lights down, perhaps a candle on the table and background music would make a huge difference. Highly recommend for a good meal.
We stumpled upon this little gem of a restaurant while drive to a wedding destination a few miles from here. The menu was simple and good and me , my wife and our daughter had different starters and main courses. We are now eating the desert while I write this and the whole family is smiling and laughing. So if you are driving by or thinking of a cozy and friendly place to eat. search no more and come over.

Really good food. English speaking staff. Very clean and modern with amazing view over the river. Child friendly but great for couples too.Serves pints of beer.We had Plat du jour which was fantastic.Food very reasonable with great selection.Loads of parking. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. And the very lovely and hospitable owner speaks perfect English having lived and worked in England for a while. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Really enjoyed dining here, good food beautiful view, the owners were very friendly gave great service and spoke English, definately worth a visit.
