Despite being underneath the Bern-Fribourg motorway, the village of Matran is surprisingly quiet. Thanks to an advice from a colleague I discovered the charming Auberge du Tilleul, directly across the church. It offers fantastic food and great service in a relaxed countryside atmosphere. Wir waren mit der Familie zum Wildessen dort, schade war dass das Fleisch zu stark durch war und die Sauce (sollte wohl originell sein) nicht zum Wild passte und total dünnflüssig war. Die Wirtin dürfte gerne etwas freundlicher rüberkommen, irgendwie hat man ständig das Gefühl von ihr blöd belächelt oder gar ausgelacht zu werden, sie hat eben eine komisch Art. Die Deko im Speisesal ist top und total schön, es muss sich jedoch noch einiges verbessern damit wir wieder kommen.

Since long time we were visiting this very nice place. During this visit a global changes were detected. In the past the specific Swiss restaurant with its own character (interior, chief, style) became usual one. Dishes were perfect, service also, everything is fine. But...this place has lost its face.... Pity.

Recommandé par des amis, cet établissement est réputé pour la chasse. Un peu exagéré car si tout y est dans la présentation, la cuisson n'est pas à la hauteur. C'est dommage de présenter une selle de chevreuil trop cuite, presque dure, alors que ce met est si noble.

Das Mittagsmenü hat vorzüglich geschmeckt (Salat, Maispoularde mit Reis und Gemüse und Ananas mit Himbeersorbet) und wurde sehr freundlicher und aufmerksam serviert.
