I firmly believe that one can never pay too much for a fantastic meal, however paying too much for something substandard is as good as an insult. Unfortunately this restaurant, on this day, for me, fell into that category. We had oysters to start, no great magic needed in the kitchen there, they were good, though not the best. This was followed by a basically tasteless and very tough steak, although cooked seignant ; with edible mushrooms and potatoes, nothing my local cafe not could have put together for a fraction of the price. the exception was the cheeseboard....a credit to the local cheese producers..not the chef. A rather superior attitude to service didn 't help, the gist of which was...
