"Restaurant very busy, we didn't have a reservation but they found a table for us with just a 15 minute wait. Atmosphere more like Italian rather than French excellent service, pizzas had the best toppings we have had anywhere."

We loved everything about this boutique hotel! The room is decorated with lovely finishes that gives you a true “romance in the French countryside” feeling. Staff were super helpful eventhough we don’t speak a word of French. It is breath of fresh air compared to the bad attitude often experienced in Paris. They helped us with our luggage up the stairs (and we have a lot thanks to having a baby! . They warned us on e mail that they do not have a bassinet available for baby so we could come prepared with a carry cot. Recommended by our host at the Manoir d’Alice because of its Monday hours, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Petit Mas. It’s a simple, country place with a family friendly roadhouse feel. I’m thinking tous working-family Issoire was there that evening. The menu is basic but varied to include salads, pizzas and grills; the wine list is thin but local. The welcome is a bit disjointed, the service amateur but pleasant. The place was packed. Kids roamed freely, laughing and playing; their parents all looked relaxed. Drinks went down easily. Everyone looked happy starting with us. Just get off your gourmet high horse and dig in. It's an easy place to end the day.
Recommended by a friend we understood that dogs were not allowed. Could we eat on the table outside no. Could we have a takeaway no. OK we will go and get the car and then park near the open air tables to be able to see our dog in the car no that area not open (people were sitting there when we left) We were seated the other end and our car blocked in. The manager was unhelpful walked off in the middle of conversations. The food was good and staff friendly except for the manager who made the evening unnecessarily stressful. A barrier is positioned to make the smallest entrance to the carpark and has a spike which scrapes your car which it did. Never again.
Extremely rude, clearly don’t like non French people , they saw us with our dog and asked us to wait 20 mins till they opened, we waited, then we went to walk inside and was told they don’t serve drinks without food, so we asked for food and drinks, they said no dogs (even though they have a massive terrace and a bench in the car park) so we asked to sit on the bench in the car park, but nope. They weren’t even busy. very very rude staff. Not worth visiting.
