Auberge Le Saint Jean

Stopped here for Sunday lunch by chance - and we were very lucky to be squeezed in. The menus looked good, although we ended up a la carte. I had escargot (delicious!) then duck and finally a saffron creme brûlée. The food was all great, so this isn't really a criticism...but we all thought our various starters were a little large, and we all thought the main dishes needed a little sauce. Personal taste only, and certainly doesn't stop us looking forward to a return visit!

Our first visit to this village and restaurant, really like them both. Selected the 25€ menu, tomato tiramisu, confit of duck and cod with three individual purée - the starter was different and divided opinion (but both agreed that it was tasty) the two main dishes excellent, the fish dish unusual but lovely and the potatoes to accompany the duck excellent, this Auberge will remain on our list to revisit. Some nice gardens in the village to stroll around afterwards

Our 1st trip to this amazing village to view houses and we were captivated by its charms. What an additional delight to eat such lovely food, I do not like cheese so the plat du jour was adapted - very impressive! This place offers such fantastic value for money - food and wine for less than 15 Euros. Lunch is our new favourite meal. we are hoping that this will be our new local if our house purchase goes to planSee you soon!

The restaurant is very good and not to expensive, I send guests here from my bed and breakfast establishment, and they are open on a Monday evening, I know they will receive a warm friendly welcome and have a good meal. Lovely little restaurant with excellent French food and the owners speak English so no problems in letting customers know what you are ordering. Reserva una mesa ahora

Yet another enjoyable evening at the St Jean in our village. The food is excellent, the ambience is good but it is the restauranteurs themselves, Jean-Pierre and Dominic, that make a good evening a great one. We will be back again very soon.

Very pleasant restaurant who care about their food. Both the 25 and 32 € menus are good value and the service is prompt and courteous. As a bonus, the wine prices do not rip you off.

Birthday lunch in the open air. Food was first rate. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Cheese was a delight, and we had a fine bottle of wine. This was excellent value for money.

Lucky Nanteuil En Vallee! Two first rate places to have lunch. This restaurant provided us with an excellent meal. Well cooked imaginative food. We will certainly visit again Reserva una mesa ahora

Great food and really good service. Jean Pierre is absolutly charning. His staff are equaly friendly and efficient. I will be back.
