First night at Innsbruck on Recommended by a local host here for descent hot meal. At first we want to go to wolffire but they turned us away as they have full reservation at with no sign of anyone in the restaurant so...we came to AUI RESTAURANT. It was a Bar upfront with restaurant at the back. The manager greeted us with warmth even we are walk ins. We have no complaint. Ordered a tomato soup as starter, yum yum, a blue cheese prime steak medium rare with fresh wedges and a roasted salmon filler with a descent salad on the side. We were on the way to Germany from Garda lake and we decided to stop in Innsbruck to have a lunch.we read all the good reviews on trip advisor and decided with my family to go eat a steak in this steakhouse. my husband like...steaks and really understands what is a good steak ; so we went there with our two kids they were actually very nice and offered the kids some paintings and drawing papers and were very hungry and excited but then came the disappointment. the order came very fast to be honest but the steak was really horrible ... no taste at all ... this is so far the worst steak we ever had ; don’t know if that’s a one time thing ,.. it wasn’t cheap either ... I saw other people eating...
We went for a good steak....well..that didn't work...starter..I got a very salty onion soup which I had to send back...the only alternative was the tomato cream soup which to my surprise landed in the table within 3 mins....cans and microwave...whoopee We both had the so-called...filet steak...it was tasty for sure but dodgy if it was filet at all....full of sinews.....NOT Great pinot from Austria. Really good... Staff...well we don't really care...we get paid anyway. My advice....Maybe the burgers are good but stay away from what we had.... Not a very good restaurant
Went with quite a large group. There is a smaller bar type area at the front but it opens into quite a large restaurant at the back. Varied menu, steaks looked good and well cooked. I had Popeye pizza spinach (obviously), mushroom, onion and...garlic. Huge and delicious although I don’t usually go veggie. Pudding was some kind of pancake batter that is apparently a speciality but wasn’t very nice if I’m honest, not sure it it was meant to be cooked right through or a bit raw in the middle as served. Still, service good and an enjoyable time had.

While staying in Innsbruck, we decided to go for a casual dinner at Aui’s. It was Sunday night and early for Europe Upon entering, you were in the bar and it was quite busy with a football (soccer) game on the tv. After having reserved this restaurant for dinner, I read some reviews writing about Tex-Mex food and I got worried about it. But, arriving there, I understood the situation. As you enter the restaurant, there is a bar. The real restaurant is in the back. A...tradional one, good service, wine list and menu. I got a steak with fries, gorgeous, and drank one glass of Güner Veltliner and one of Pinot Noir. I recommend it.
After a long drive into town wife and I were looking for a good meal, and TA reviews made us choose this restaurant. I had a steak and wife had a salad and pasta. The steak was very good and had good flavor. My wife...enjoyed both her Caesar salad and her pasta. We also enjoyed the beautiful weather and had a very nice meal on the back porch/seating area. Would definitely suggest and return here.
We have found this restaurant thanks to Tripadvisor. It was period of holiday so the restaurant was full at dinner but the waiter found a table for us people)anyway . The service was perfect and quick. The food was very good (the beef was...perfectly cooked and really tasteful) as the beer, the apfelstrudel was amazing! Prices are not economic but acceptable for food quality and service.

We had an amazing dining experience here during our stay in Innsbruck. Went here with my friends and we had the Tomahawk steak and wagyu, best steak ever!! Also a big thanks to Katie for excellent service.
This was our second visit to his restaurant. Great atmosphere in the dining room at the back, good service and delicious food. The steaks are great as was the surf and surf [salmon and prawns]
