Austin Street Pizza

This reminded me of one of the neighborhood pizzerias I had growing up. 80's rock playing in the background, brick oven pizza, quality food, fast and friendly service. Pick up or dine in only. They know what they've got, they know what they are doing and they keep it simple. The 2.0 was absolutely delicious. There are subtle yet very important things that set a damn good NY pizzeria apart from the rest Austin Street Pizza knows what those things are and they knock it out of the park. Austin St. pizza gives the old-school local neighborhood vibe while looking modern. The staff are friendly, and the manager/owner (not sure) is a nice guy (dont know his name). I was waiting for my truffle mushroom pizza (which is freaking phenomenal, btw) and saw this kid walk in work space to show that he didn't want cheese on his pizza and guy diligently guided him away from the oven while keeping a friendly demeanor and then gave him a free slice. See, for me, that right there is good vibes. This is my favorite place to buy a slice in the neighborhoodMultiple times I’ve ordered one slice with no intention of ordering a second but during that time they put out another fresh pie and I end up ordering because I can’t help myself:)Four stars only because they do not offer delivery and the seating/space inside can get cramped at time

Great pizza place. Haven't had a bad slice from here ever. I always grab a slice when I'm running through Forest Hills. Only docked points because there is no restroom.Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices that are meat-free
