Aux P'tits Oignons

We had dinner on two subsequent weekday evenings at this restaurant in the center of Montluel, within easy walk of the chambres d'hotes where we were staying. The proprietor is extremely proud of his recipes and was friendly and efficient in working (by himself) the entire dinner crowd. Most individuals were eating at the outside patio, though we chose the cooler, air conditioned dining room. Favorite dishes were the duck confit and African-inspired chicken with peanut sauce. The menus and individual dishes were reasonably priced, generous, with good value.

This restaurant is amazing. The owner/chef buys all the produce locally and everything is cooked fresh. Lunch time is very busy, but you can call and make a booking. In the evening normally quiet but the food is fantastic. There is a menu of the day which is fantastic value. The steak was amazing and hand cut home made chips made the whole experience amazing!

Some excellent cuisine to be had here. A simple menu with a handful of meat and fish dishes. Superbly well cooked, really nice. Well priced also.

Beautiful house and good kitchen. Little regret at noon a week because of the waiting.
