Azie on Main - Reserva de mesa

My dining partner and I had dinner here on Friday 8/7. As it was pouring we had no choice but to eat inside. Interestingly the restaurant called to tell me they overbooked and would gladly cancel my reservation. I'm sure my response wasn't very nice, but I did have a confirmed reservation. No problem once arriving especially in the back dining room which was fairly empty. Our waiter was great (don't know his name) and very accomodating to my dining partner who is gluten intolerant. Our salads were big, my with calamari and hers with beets. We also had edamame as an app to munch on. We then had sushi which was just fair with brown rice because it's gluten free. eating is delicious. the azie roll and the cucumber crunch are from this world! we had pad thai with crab, the ingenious, sashimi platter amazing, and we always order the drunk noodles. we love it here! we came there early and said that we all had to be there to sit there, but the young man sitting on us was boundless. two of us were there first and understood the rules, but it felt like he was ready to fight when we asked to sit. there were literally only three more tables with guests he could have been more friendly. all the others of the hostesses to our server were amazing as always.

I've been in acia a lot, but that was my first time to eat there since the pandemic began. the seats in the free were a good option; the social balance was strictly pursued and yet not distracted from the atmosphere. Very good restaurant, which I enjoy dining at. It's a strong choice in terms of service and quality, but not 5 stars in the Philly market.
