Azzurro Italian Arbroath

After living and working in Italy for many years, including traveling around the country for holidays, I can safely say that Azzurro Ristorante in Arbroath is an excellent quality, and very authentic Italian restaurant. We had tasty focaccia rosemary, and tomato and chilli prawns to share -both delicious! We then had pasta- le penne all’ arrabbiata which was exquisite, risotto with chicken and mushrooms, again expertly cooked, and king prawn tomato spaghetti- again, all absolutely delicious. The menu caters for all tastes, and is very reasonably priced, but above all, the food is of excellent quality. The pasta dishes took us back to wonderful holidays in Roma and Lazio region, and was reminiscent of the fabulous flavours of “la dolce vita in Italia!” You have to support this wonderful local restaurant, and I am sure you will love it as much as we do, and will become regular visitors for Roberto’s kind hospitality, his amazing family-focused food and hospitality, and a very reasonable bring your own alcohol option too. Walking round Arbroath on a Sunday we found this small fronted Italian restaurant. What a find. It’s bigger when you get inside and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It doesn’t have a licence but you can bring you own booze. We both ordered pizzas and salad and both were delicious. Really lovely base for the pizza and although we both had pepperoni on the pizza it was not very oily which has happened to me before on other less good pizza makers. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere with a couple of families with youngish children with a couple of other tables with couples. Really good food, value for money and excellent service.

We absolutely love this place. A delight to go and always clean plates all round. Food is perfectly cooked and presented and excellent value for money. The gentleman is attentive and very pleasant. 10/10

Love Italian food make sure you eat here. Nothing was too much trouble. Take your own wine and ask for what you would like to eat.

Enjoyed my meal, the prices aren't too high. Nice music, clean toilet. Very friendly staff : All meals freshly made :D
