I decided to order a bit of everything for the full experience: mac and cheese, waffles, a drink, chicken strips, and French fries. Unfortunately, there was no knife provided with the waffles, and the butter was so hard it was impossible to spread. The waffles were just average. On a positive note, the seasoned fries were good, but they only offered those annoying little ketchup packets instead of cups or a squeeze bottle, which was frustrating.

I tried Baba's for the first time on Christmas Eve! I got the sandwich, tenders, fries, and mac n cheese. I chose mild for the spice level despite other reviews saying they thought it wasn't very spicy. Mild was perfect for me, it had just the right amount of heat without being uncomfortable to eat. Everything was delicious, especially the fries! They were 10/10, still dreaming about them. The mac n cheese was very creamy, which is how I like it. The only reason for four stars is the sauces. Tenders. This place is mainly tenders only but served multiple ways. There's no specific breast filet or individual pieces of fried chicken. (This is the main reason I can't give this place 5/5) That being said I did enjoy their fried chicken tenders. It has a good breading to it, a great Nashville kick and after taste and a fantastic crisp. The slaw they used on their sandwich is crunchy, fresh and just wet enough to give you a reprieve from the spice. They also make their fried pickles differently here frying the entire thing. This place is great! If you go during a busy time, good luck finding parking. The loaded fries are a foodie delight and packed with flavor. They come as mild or spicy as you prefer. The sandwich is basically two big chicken tenders on bread with slaw/sauce and such but to be honest, the best thing here is the loaded fries. The portion is basically enough for two to share or if your hungry, you do you! The chicken is seasoned well and has a lot of flavor so whatever you go with you will like. As for the food, the sandwich and fries were quite good! The chicken strips were well-seasoned, super juicy, and had a fresh texture. However, I wasn’t a fan of the buns—they were a bit too hard for my liking. I was also disappointed that the chicken sandwiches didn’t have actual hot sauce on them, and there wasn’t any hot sauce available on the side, although they did offer ranch dressing.
I really enjoyed the fries, even though I’m 99% sure they were deep-fried frozen fries—so the mushy potato interior beneath the extra crispy exterior has me convinced! But I have to admit, I did love them.

I always love trying new chicken places and this one did not disappoint! Its in the Lab Anti-Mall so lots of stores share the same parking. I went around 7pm on new years eve and it was pretty empty. The employees were super friendly and made conversation as they took our order. The loaded fries had mini and regular and was such a good price for the portion, I ended up taking 1/4 home. I got mild and it already had a decent kick, but I might give medium a try next time.
I cannot recommend this restaurant. I ordered two chicken sandwiches, fries, and a grilled cheese sandwich. First, the chicken was excessively greasy, causing both my husband and me to have severe stomachaches immediately after eating. Second, instead of the grilled cheese, I received macaroni and cheese. Lastly, my fries were missing entirely. I tried calling to report the issues, but no one answered. Overall, this place is overpriced and disappointing.
Tasty and a hip chicken sandwich joint if you want to mix it up a bit and not always rely on Dave's Hot Chicken or other fast food chicken options. Baba's offers many levels of heat and it's a solid meal no matter how you cut it. Only thing that was weird is the drinks are extra when you order a combo. I think they should re-think that as spicy chicken deserves a drink that's included in a higher cost meal.

This restaurant is located within The Lab in Costa Mesa. There is sufficient parking in the back. I ordered a chicken grilled cheese from the secret menu item and fries. Did not disappoint!
One of my favorite places for a quick meal . Thier sourdough grilled cheese is seriously the best.
