I used to work there for a short period of time and the stuff I saw were horrifying. 1. Vegetables were improperly stored and would frequently rot in their boxes. The owner would separate the rotten vegetables and keep using the ones that “look fresh” instead of disposing of the whole container. He’d even cut off rotten sides from some vegetables that only had small pieces of mold. 2. Meat was almost never fresh and would be kept in the fridge for no less than a week 3. We almost always had expired beverages that the owner refused to dispose of 4. The owner was extremely negligent when it came to allergies and food safety in general. The food is the star of this Resteraunt. The lamb shank special was perfectly braised and spiced. It was accompanied by a fresh salad, rice and a choice of 3 soups. The baba ghanouj was balanced and perfect with the fresh baked bread hot from the oven. The baklava filling and layered pastry was moist, sweet and delicious served with cardamom tea. The cook Jamal cooks with love in an authentic middle eastern style. The service was pleasant and attentive. You should not miss tasting this fare.
The food was delicious. Great portions and fairly priced. The people were fantastic! They really care about the customer. The owner came out to ask about our experience, not out of obligation like managers at chain restaurants, but to make sure his food and service was great. And the girl at the counter was fabulous. Friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I will absolutely eat here again when I return to the area.
