Babylon Pizzeria & Ristorante

it's already skurril. an oriental restaurant called Babylon in a house where the name "Jesus House" stands. but in floridsdorf there can be something like that.The local doesn't necessarily impress with a great atmosphere. at least not in the early afternoon. but at least it is not paved with the classic-kitschigen oriental deko. the plastic protection over the tablecloth surprises me again. for I have not seen such a thing for ever, except for my departure before a week ago when I visited a Russian local, who was also waiting for such and really convinced me. After my visit to the Babylon, I can say that I seem to have been happy with locals who put on plastic covers over the tables. because even the visit to the babylon was really great.The chef is very nice and above all warm.The ayran is excellent (self made) and really well tasted. fits.But eating was actually a small high point. as far as I could see it, everything was done. the hummus was fantastic, the fallafel as well. salate well made, the Iraqi brot a dream (also made themselves; and the best brot for ever!) the rice perfectly cooked, the lamb-kebap shoots from the grill big, super seasoned, perfectly grilled and tasted just to 100% satisfying. and plastic covers are definitiw no sign for half-hearted kitchen!

Top orientalische Küche zum satt essen! Ich wohne nur 200m von diesem Lokal entfernt und habe schon öfter bestellt und hier abgeholt. Die Bestellungen sind meist 10-20min nach Anruf fertig, Die Speisen sind von der Menge mehr als ausreichend. Es kann sinnvoll sein für eine einzelne Person, die halbe Portion zu bestellen. Alternativ kann man mit einer normalen Portion azu zweit essen oder alleine zweimal essen. Ich hatte heute wieder die normale Portion Lamm Schaschlik. Tolle Aromen, Grillaroma am Lamm, Orientalische Gewürze, Minze, Zimt und was ich besonders mag: die gegrillte Zwiebel mit Haut die man selbst schält und dann Schicht für Schicht genießt. Dazu 2x Fladenbrot, frisch und knusprig. Im Lokal selbst sind stets einheimische der einschlägigen ethnischen Zugehörigkeit zu sehen. Für mich ein Garant für Authentizität und Qualität. Am Telefon muss man gut Hochdeutsch sprechen damit die Bestellung gut verstanden wird, dies ist für mich jedoch kein Problem.

Sehr Nette Bedienung und der Kebab und das Naanbrot sind wirklich hervorragend, Wochenende und Abend am besten immer Vorbestellen wenn man es sich abholt da alles frisch gemacht wird.

That's great. Iraqi specialties, meat, rice, sauces. is located not far from the center and is easily accessible by public transport!
