I wasn't in backfin in the awhile, but always loved her eier benedikt, the best everywhere. my pet peeve with the dish is so many chefs add too much lemon, backfin’s was always perfect, creamy with just one hauch of tang. well, I hope they just had a back type on this day working on the sosse because the amount of lemon was much to do, it was all I could taste. cocktails were very good (although there was a bit too many with a form of grapefruit in them that no one can have in our table due to allergic or medicaments), but we simply went with the two few who were not form of grapefruit and they were beautifully made. the two people with whom I enjoyed their om...
Everything was excellent from service waitress Gabriel) to hot delicious fresh rolls with butter pats that are somewhat warmed by the bread, to appetizer crab Louie great flavor) to a fresh wedge salad and outstanding crab cakes and stuffed salmon. It could not have been a better meal especially not knowing what to expect as first time diners. And there was no rush as customarily we Americans love to rush through dinner. The whole experience took over 90 minutes. I will be coming back monthly for sure. Thank you Backfin Blues and Gabriel for making this first experience a great one.
my wife and I invited another couple of us who has never been to backfin. as always the service was incredible. it wasn't just our server worried about us, the entire staff checked. the restaurant said they were understaffed, but that didn't seem too important. eating was excellent as always. what the dinner made was our server, coral. she had a blowing personality and was very attentive. if they have not yet been in backfin blues or have forgotten about this port deposit precious stone, they should be sure to stop in. food, drinks and service were 10/10!
Our server, Bailee, was GREAT! She gave great advice when we asked for it and was very attentive to my wife and I. That being said, we went during Sunday brunch. The food was good, just thought it would be better. For example, I got the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict. The description said Colossal Crab. My expectation was to have more than just two small pieces of crab. See picture attached. Kinda crazy that the best part of our meal was the Rosemary Home Fries. Not sure I would come back for dinner at those prices if the main ingredients are skimpy.

We had a birthday dinner with friends. This was a full course, relaxed event with drinks, appetizers, salads, dinner and a cake which we brought with is. The food was perfect! Our waitress was attentive. The restaurant is small and noisy, and patrons were dressed casual to evening attire. We had a wonderful time, and the only complaint is that it took too long for our entrees. It was well over an hour from our order time. We will be back though...it is a gem in sleepy Port Deposit.
Always a great experience! Updated 10/12/22 another outstanding evening! The food was excellent and the chef nailed it. The drinks were great, and entire staff was professional, polite and courteous. Our server Cierra was outstanding, she knew what to suggest and she was very attentive. We will request her again. Joe Michele
they have some of the best food I've ever had. the service is great. it is a little small in the inner, but it is well joined together and has a cozy, comfortable feeling. I am definitiw back.
another fabulous experience at backfin blues tonight. the food was on the spot, waitress (bailey) was such a pleasure. we love this place when they have not been, go! they will not regret it.

110% recommend going here, very nice place to sit and have dinner for a simple evening out. Music was good, food was delicious! Area is nice and quiet. And the service was great!!!
