Backstage Grill

Late on a Sunday night, we entered this nearly empty bar, only occupied by a small group. The bar was nice and the bouncer was a solid guy. Our red-headed bartender appeared unfriendly from the beginning, causing me to question it. She was very condescending. Despite the calm ambiance, she was slow to take our orders, consistently wearing an angry expression each time she spoke to us. Frustrated, I decided to buy a round for my 3 friends, but her response was rude, insisting I figure out everyone’s order myself and then call her. I always thought that was the bartender’s job. Meanwhile when she spoke to the other group she was very cheerful. It felt deeply insulting, as we had given no reason, other than our race and appearance, for such treatment. We left, carrying a sense of sadness and humiliation. Other than our race and appearance there is nothing she could have been disturbed by. I hate to throw around the R word, but in my heart that’s exactly what it felt like. Can’t shake off this awful feeling and it’s been two days.

I didn't get to try the food...it looked good on the online menu...but other than that ...this place is lit....nice neighborhood dive...service was friendly....karaoke was litdrinks off the chain

I do love this spot. Food (Turkey Burger) good and juicy af. The bar/waitress seevice has changed. Had to order and pay at the bar before receiving food or drink.
