Baekjeong has always been on my bucket list of places to visit since their locations in Irvine and Temple City. I've always heard great things about it, and that it was a la carte versus AYCE made it even more tempting to try. We were quoted with a wait time of 45 minutes, but we were seated in 15 minutes which was great. Our table of 6 ordered a beef combo and pork combo along with two sojus and lunch boxes. We started with side dishes, and the kimchi was tasty. The salads, bean sprouts, and mashed potatoes were also good. I used to love coming to Baekjeong and even gave them a five-star review before. But my visit back in June completely turned into a nightmare when there was a sharp particle in a corn cheese side dish that severely injured my gum and morale. I was so patient and waited this case to be solved by Baekjeong for the past 4 months, but nothing has been solved as they either ignore my emails or keep making excuses. I am so disappointed in their lack of responsibilities and I am still traumatized by the experience that I had to go through that night at the restaurant. Came here on the recommendation of a friend and I am so thankful. This was my first time in a couple years getting kbbq again and let me tell you the quality and service here is unmatched. Our server was extremely attentive, kind, and answered any questions we had. We're normally used to AYCE so we were unsure of which combo to get as we were super hungry, but we opted for the small beef combo and it actually filled us up. It's great for two, and on top of that, you get unlimited refills on the egg and corn. I love that they cook it for you vs you cooking it yourself, and the vents are a plus so the steam/smoke isn't going everywhere, especially towards you haha. I can't wait to go back!
Waited an hour at 6 pm, for a party of 3. We had fond memories of this place but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience this time around. Side dishes were below average. The corn/cheese and egg thing doesn't do it for me. Brisket, which I thought you can't mess up was tough and chewy. Seafood pancake looks nice but doughy and not flavorful. Galbi was about the only decent thing but at $55 for 4-5 pieces it's not worth it. Also, some may like having your meat cooked for you but for me it was stressful and not enjoyable as you couldn't cook/eat at your pace. This is my Go-to establishment for my Kbbq! This location is the best in my opinion, The service, the ambiance, and the food is always delicious! I highly recommend this location! I was a GEN visitor before, but now I swore off that franchise due to the quality of everything here is much much better than any Kbbq I 've been to. Hope your experience here reflects upon my opinion and enjoy!
Came for my brother Davids birthday. We got sat and then Ethan introduce himself to us. Fantastic service while handling our table of 12 and another table of 8. Ethan didn't miss a bit and was always there when we needed something. 11/10 service, we had an amazing birthday meal.
