this restaurant is located closer to the evenalp, where we planned to hike. found a price for a room with a cot with breakfast at 124 euro on Booking.com, but since it was a last minute booking, decided to call the hotel directly. they told me it was their last room, but they increased the price to 160 euro! since I was too tired to argue, I took it, but would advise someone to book online instead of directly with them. this is not a chic hotel, but only a small, simple but comfortable guest house in the middle of a small village, far away from everything. our cot was actually pushed together 2 single beds, and there were no inallergenic alternative to the usual Swiss spring cushions and com...

a welcome full of tact, professionalism and human warmth. everything is impeccable, clean and neat. very beautiful view of the panorama. delicious and quality breakfasts, a tasty meal, all for a more than reasonable price. the owners are very nice, discreet and very attentive. at night the hook rings, but it becomes a pleasure to find itself immersed in this resurgent campagnard atmosphere. to recommend to those who love, enjoy life and simple and authentic people.
On advice of the guests we were staying at in Gais, we booked a table in that charming place. Good choice, indeed ! Everything was perfect : all the meals were original and beautifully presented, the meat was incredibly soft, juicy and tasty, service was very attentive. Very good Italian wine (Amarone della Valpolicella, Lavarini)Only a tiny disappointment : the paintings on the wall were miserable.

unexpectedly beautiful locality at over 900 m height, in small village above appenzell. most beautiful alpsteinpanorama from the restaurant or from the garden industry. excellent cuisine (have rarely eaten such a delicate stroganoff!.) friendly host - simply recommended!
