Bagels And Cream

I walked into the store and took a look at the bagel and cream cheese display. There were only a handful of choices available so my expectations were set kind of low to begin with. I asked for a blueberry bagel, which they didnt have. Even though I knew that the selection was limited, I was still caught off guard as I had never really seen a bagel shop that didnt have blueberry bagels. So i got an everything bagel with lox cream cheese which to my surprise, was actually very good. I guess never judge a book by its cover. They seem to be good with the items that they do serve. I would go back for a quick bite.

Came in, no one greeted me for several minutes while someone worked the grill. I asked if bagels were made in house or come from somewhere else- they come from elsewhere. Not very friendly service, I was ignored. They didn’t even seem interested in checking me out. I Would have bought a half dozen to go but they aren’t cooked here so I wasn’t interested. Cashier was less than thrilled to be here and it was reflected in her work ethic.

They've substantially upped their game over the past couple of years. Good for them! Extra star... bagels are good. The best bronx bagels are still from Empire Bagel but this is a good stop for the close proximity to the hospital
