I wanted to like this place as I go to Montefiore Hospital every day for 3 months now. I ordered a panini with grilled chicken, onions, green peppers and avocado. I was told it would take ten minutes as it 's being made fresh. Well, after I got the panini and opened the bag 5 mins. Later, the bread was not toasted ut was mushy and loaded with tons of green peppers. The avocado was an already prepared mashed up mess and the chicken was about the size of my two skinny fingers. None of the food was hot at all! The price of $11 was not worth it. I would never return. Sales people did not smile or seem to appreciate my dollar tip. McDonalds down rhe block is a way better bang for your buck. This...

I walked into the store and took a look at the bagel and cream cheese display. There were only a handful of choices available so my expectations were set kind of low to begin with. I asked for a blueberry bagel, which they didnt have. Even though I knew that the selection was limited, I was still caught off guard as I had never really seen a bagel shop that didnt have blueberry bagels. So i got an everything bagel with lox cream cheese which to my surprise, was actually very good. I guess never judge a book by its cover. They seem to be good with the items that they do serve. I would go back for a quick bite.

Upon entering the restaurant, I surveyed the bagel and cream cheese options on display. There were only a few choices available, so my expectations were not very high. I requested a blueberry bagel, but they did not have it in stock. Despite the limited selection, I was pleasantly surprised by the everything bagel with lox cream cheese that I ended up ordering. It turned out to be quite tasty. It goes to show that you should never judge a book by its cover. The restaurant seems to excel at the items they do offer. I would consider returning for a quick meal.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was not greeted for a few minutes while someone was cooking on the grill. I inquired about the bagels and found out they are not made in-house, which was disappointing. The service was not very friendly, as I felt ignored and they didn't seem interested in helping me. I wanted to buy a half dozen to go, but since they were not made on-site, I decided against it. The cashier did not seem enthusiastic about her job, which was evident in her lackluster work ethic. They've substantially upped their game over the past couple of years. Good for them! Extra star... bagels are good. The best bronx bagels are still from Empire Bagel but this is a good stop for the close proximity to the hospital

Really delicious bagels in the area! This is my go-to spot for a great bagel and lox when I'm in Morris Park. Staff is very kind.
