We are a little surprised at some of the negative reviews for this restaurant. We live nearby and go to the pools often, and have eaten here quite often too. It is very busy so perhaps the service is a bit slow. But you don't go to a spa for a quick meal! We also agree that the staff could be more smiley :-) but they are quite efficient. The prices are correct - after all, this is Switzerland ... no bargains here. As for the food, we have NEVER been disappointed, it is always fresh and tasty, and always delicious. We are not big eaters so the size of the meals is just right for us. We even had a big family lunch there when our daughter got married and everyone appreciated it and loved the fo...
I was a bit skeptical after reading some reviews about slow service, but went because it was a convenient spot for lunch after a morning at the baths, and because it has a good kids menu. It far exceeded my expectations in that the waitress, Sarah, was friendly enough, spoke English, and was timely in everything she did, the food came out surprisingly quickly, and we all (4 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed our food. We'll definitely be back - thank you!
We had a late dinner of La Caprese salad and my husband had the burger which came with great crispy Swiss fries and a dressed, mixed salad. Both were fresh and delicious, well presented and we didn't have to wait long. The waiters were extremely attentive and polite. I think the lighting could be a bit more romantic but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.
The hamburger's meat... we asked for well done, they came still red inside.... taste was really not exiting for the price... French fries were good. Salad was ok Open red wine, not good... We are sorry to say that we were disappointed... we ate better...in the Old Bourg of Saillon in the Rest. du Veux-Bourg.... cheaper and better...
