"We visited this hut in July 2017 during our Karnische Höhenweg hike. A good organised Mountain hut with proper food and sleeping places. It's a typical mountain hut so the sleep places are dorms. The owner is kind but very strict. The hut is accessible by car but the prices for the food are higher then other huts where the food is to be brought by helicopter. They have a monopoly position because of their location on the Karnische Höhenweg and they know how to use it."

Dal lago klapfsee, raggiungibile in auto, si raggiunge la baita attraverso un sentiero facile di circa un ora, percorribile anche dalle auto nel fine settimana. La baita e càrina, offre buoni piatti della cucina tipica, dolci squisiti. modalità un poco rigide del personale rigidità nel far rispettare le regole, condivisibili, del locale, non sempre gradite ad alcuni ospiti (mantenere un tono di voce contenuto essendo la sale interna piccola, non consumare cibo proprio nella sala ristorante)
