The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the fruit salad that comes with the quiche. It mostly consisted of apples and oranges, and wasn’t particularly flavorful. However, the quiche itself was outstanding—flaky, well-balanced, and packed with flavor, plus a generous portion. When they say "banana pancakes," they truly mean it—get ready for a hearty serving, not just a few thin slices. You know a place is great when no one wants to share their meal! All the muffins are a delightful surprise in terms of flavor, and they are wonderfully soft and fluffy rather than oily and dense. Plus, their homemade lemonade makes for excellent Arnold Palmers.
This is an amazing place for breakfast or lunch in Long Beach. It's quite popular, and it definitely deserves all the praise! I had fresh strawberry pancakes as part of a combo breakfast that included eggs and sausage. The pancakes were light and perfectly prepared, with crispy edges and a fluffy center. They were generously topped with delicious strawberries and optional whipped cream. The berries were sweet enough that I hardly needed any maple syrup. The sausage links were of high quality, and the eggs, which I ordered over medium, were cooked just right.
My brother took us to this restaurant over the weekend, and it was fantastic! This was easily the best American breakfast I've had in a long time. The pancakes were light and delicious, and I really enjoyed the veggie omelette with its creamy avocado. The blueberry muffin was perfectly moist inside and perfectly crisp outside. The diner had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and our waiter was excellent! I would absolutely recommend this place. I can't wait to eat here again next time we're in town.

This is a delightful place for breakfast. The ambiance is charming, featuring a clean, vintage vibe. The staff is extremely attentive, and the food is outstanding. I will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends along. The hash browns are larger than usual and taste amazing.
The food is excellent, and the service is friendly! It's no surprise that this place is constantly busy. The wait is definitely worth it, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. The chicken pot pie is absolutely incredible!
This is one of my favorite places for breakfast in town. It tends to get quite busy during the morning and lunchtime. I've been coming here for years, and my top pick is the seasoned hash browns. Excellent food and service!
I make the drive from Fullerton to Long Beach just to eat at Bake N Broil. I've been enjoying meals there for years, and the food is always delicious and the service is very courteous. I highly recommend Jongwaard's!
