I’m not a bread connoisseur, but I can confidently say that this is some of the best bread I’ve ever tasted. I have a particular fondness for sweet bread, so when I discovered this place, I decided to give it a try while I was nearby. Just a heads up, there is a 4% fee for credit card payments, so I opted to pay with cash. The owner was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the offerings. They also have a selection of Japanese drinks. You should definitely check it out—you won’t regret it! I live a few hours away, but whenever I'm in the area, I know exactly where to go for some delicious treats.

This is a family-owned business, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. The bento box of the day is just $8.75. Where else in Illinois can you find a freshly made-to-order bento box crafted by a skilled Japanese pastry chef for that price? It feels like 90s pricing without the inflation! I wish I could post photos of my meal, but I couldn't resist digging in right away—I finished it all! This place truly is a hidden gem. Please show them the kindness they deserve.

When I approached the counter to pay, I noticed they also have a food menu—what?! I wish I could have tried a few items. I spotted “tacosme,” which is a traditional Okinawan dish that I’ve never seen in the States! I’m so excited to have found this place and can’t wait to go back. It’s unfortunate there isn’t anything similar closer to me, but an hour and twenty minutes isn’t too bad, right? This place is an absolute gem!

Absolute jewel in the northwest suburbs - I even hate to pamper it! The best Japanese bakery around and by far the personable staff and decent prices. I come here almost weekly for my thick Shoku pan and the Uguisu pan (it is the best, thank you later! . The curry bread and the melon pan are on the point, and who could pass a homemade Bento? Order and plan ahead because they can be busy! Reserva una mesa ahora

I visited this bakery for the first time, and I wish I had discovered it years ago. It's the best bakery I've ever been to! The breads I sampled were incredibly delicious, particularly the red bean doughnut. The food is not only tasty, but the staff are also very friendly and make you feel at home. I know I'll be stopping by every time I'm in the area.

The food here is outstanding, with fresh pastries, breads, and more—all at unbeatable prices! It's incredibly affordable! I'm a huge fan of their durian cream; it's not easy to find such a unique flavor, and they execute it perfectly. I can't wait to try their bento of the day on my next visit!

The food is freshly prepared, with a variety of options available, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Just a heads up: if you're looking for a specific dish, be sure to call or check with them first, as they make everything fresh and quantities can be limited.
