Vannes does not lack good crêperies, with many using organic and/or local products. But Balade en Crépanie, in the medieval quarter of town, is in a league of its own, with delicious, creative fillings like a red lentil coconut puree (great for vegetarians wanting a bit of non cheese protein), top of the line local products, and a great atmosphere. Being vegetarian, I can only speak to that side of the menu: the vegetables of the moment go off the beaten track (e.g., carrot purée à l 'orange). Many of the dessert crepes feature local organic products, but the prize goes to the heavenly spiced prune compote, made in house.
