Bale Of Hay Saloon

The Bale is under new management this year. It is a family-friendly bar, by about 10 a.m. means that children and young people are welcome until then. I don't drink, so I had a Sarsaparilla (like Root Beer, while my friends had mixed drinks. You can also get a can of Cola or Sprite here. (I'm sure there are other soda pods, but I didn't look too close. You also have a mixed drink and beer menu. We also shared a dish of delicious bite size pasties.

Wow we were hungry and wow was the food satisfying! Simple seeming menu, but really fast and good service! Loved the homemade pasty (which they together with the fools of Butte MT. And the square cherry cake was perhaps the best cherry cake I ever had. Good service and really cool atmosphere! Simply add another 5 star review to this place!

The most unforgettable experience of our journey. Mark, the bartender, was fantastic and gave us a tour through Virginia City on the back of his pickup truck and drove us back to our campsite.

One of my two fav places to grab a bev in this town. Really cool atmosphere. Great to watch sunset and relax on the porch.
