First time visiting Bangor Tavern, it was a convenient place to dine as very close to a good friends place in Menai. Good amount of parking out the front, but it could do with better lighting in the parking lot. Walked in a dim lighting at the entrance, tiled floor was a bit grubby needed to be cleaned.Served quickly at the bar for dinner. Specials were $12 for steak, fish or chicken. Not many options for vegetarians, vegans you're stuck with plain salad.Atmosphere was very family oriented, children 10yrs +Food was average - but probably better than most places i've dined at in the Menai area.was good to try, will maybe go again for a drink with friends but not to eat.
Very delicious meals were had by the entire family. Parmigiana was our favourite but the chicken burger was great too! The only negative about coming here to dinner is having to walk through the smoke as you enter (the only entrance) and then through the bar area which smelt strongly of stale beer. I was the only female walking through this area of men standing and drinking beer. Did not feel comfortable!Please make this more family friendly. Can we move the entrance for dinner guests to where the garden is or move the smoking area?
Were regular visitors here and despite the complaints the female bathrooms are still in a state of disrepair. I'm not sure what could have happened to rip a door off, but what ever it was, it happened months ago. Fix the door.And fix the leaking roof.And fix the stains.The kitchen is still turning out quality which is let down by the lack of maintenance throughout the tav.
Went to Bangor Tavern recently on a Sunday with family and friends. Meals were OK but some maybe a bit overdone, chips were not the greatest but just OK. I suspect it was due to it being very busy on the day.This pub is very popular especially on a weekend so it is best to book a table if you have a largish group.

Have been a few times now on a Thursday night for a quick bite to eat. The pizza is very good for $12.00. Have tried a few other dishes and they are OK, more pub food than fine dining but on the whole good value for money.
Great for a quick cheap lunch. Good selection on lunchtime menu. Chips are a bit over cooked though, or maybe the oil needed changing. Service is nice and quick and staff very polite.
Delicious meals, unbeatable $12 lunch specials and 'dinner special nights' friendly staff. Well worth the visit :) Thickest and juiciest schnitzel ever !

This was pretty much a Friday night hangout with the family for a casual dinner or to watch the next Manny Pacquiao fight.
Bangor Tavern is a great place for weekend lunch or catch up with family and friends for lunch and drinks.
