Banys Vells Banyoles

Right on the edge of the lake with some seating on a small jetty over the water stunning views. Service was not great and the staff were not that welcoming or friendly, even though i did speak Spanish to them ! However, i ordered the local meat and potato cakes and octopus with mashed potato, Meat cakes were really nice and a good sized portion octopus was one large tentacle which was actually very tender. Mash was very salty though.. Not the cheapest but the views are worth it. unfortunately you can usually swim off there but it was shut.

Whenever I am in Girona, a stop at Bany's Vell is an absolute must for me. This place is simply heaven! Situated right at the lake, it is peaceful and so nice to watch the scenery, no matter in which season. Even on busy days, there are always tables available. Guests are a mixed crowd of locals and tourists, old and young, families, sports people, friends etc. Besides drinks, small dishes are served which are tasty. In summer, there is even direct access to the lake for swimming. Only the friendliness of staff can sometimes be improved ;

We have been waiting 20 min to get 5 drinks, my friend ended going to the bar and asking to take the water bottles. The vegan burger was pretty good and the Braves as well. I don’t recommend buying the nachos, are really simple and don’t have any flavor

Fantastic at the lake with a great view. The staff is ok but they don’t look too happy. Service is average. The burger is good the nachos I would definitely not recommend! The sandwich with spanish ham is great.
