On Wednesday 12/06 I went to Banzai Sushi, I have never received such bad service in my life… Every time I remember my experience, I get angry, the waitress is rude and has a horrible attitude! It's a shame because the food there is wonderful, but the service is so SO BAD that I lost my appetite. When I got there, there was some water spilled on the table, she took my stepfather's DIRTY NAPKIN to clean it and just left it there. When I asked for things she responded with an ignorant, rude tone. My partner doesn't eat any type of animal protein other than shrimp. I really wanted some good ol ramen, so I went to this spot. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant and sat at a booth. I was served by Lee and she was nice! I started with the shrimp shumai, and that dish was very good! I then had the chicken ramen with the spicy miso, and it was also very good! For my last dish, I got the Teriyaki special that had grilled chicken thigh and shrimp with fried right. The dish was good. The rice needed a tad but more salt, though. I did have a good experience all in all!
I have been a Banzai customer for years, and they have always had excellent quality. However, today I was taken by surprise, the quality dropped a lot and the price went up considerably, as now the order is made completely online. I never cared about price, because there was value in it (sushi), as the quality was impeccable. Not to mention that the ironbound roll was super salty. I review it with great sadness, with the hope that you will review the changes, which in this case were made for the worse.
Such a cozy sushi hibachi restaurant! They offer great lunch specials and an extensive menu! I loved the crazy california roll, the sweet plantain was a perfect and unexpected addition. The shrimp hibachi was perfectly grilled. The ramen was savory and delicious! The customer service was great, Adi was friendly and attentive. Check them out when you’re in the Newark area!

I ordered some sushi from this place and let me just start off by saying that the food here is really good. But I paid $80 for my food which I didn’t complaint about until I received my food. The portions do not match the price. Very small portions for the amount I paid. Disappointed with that, hopefully yall could do something about it.
I simply loved everything wonderful food and everything was fresh! The very polite and attentive server Lee gave me a lot of tips on the dishes that I didn't understand and even speaking in Portuguese which saved me
They have AMAZING SUSHI. Was not impressed with the fried rice or the hibatchi. The waiter was ok, he under charged and waited until we were walking out to ask for more funds. It is a small place very intimate.
Amazing service !!! Fantastic Food !!! Most go for sushi in NJ , even if my friends are passing by the airport we stop by !!! Loved it!!! Banzai is incredible and Lee always on point !!!
