Summer and Winter, we've been visiting Les Contamines for 15 years now. Although the bar changed hands a couple of years ago it is still the place we head to for a drink and a catch up with the locals at the end of the day. Good choice of drinks, some snacks available and make sure you check out the Chocolat Viennois (hot chocolate with whipped cream) if you run to a sweet tooth.
This is a bar where the staff really look after you. We went in for drinks and to watch the Tour de France (ironically going on in the UK while we were in the tour regions in France. We were given complementary local dried meats as a thank you for our patronage - which was quite a lot whilst catching up with the tour.

Les Contamines is not a night clubby town so Les Rhodos is probably as good as it gets. Good for a morning coffee while on the bread collection run and a friendly local stop after skiing. They do snacks but the real value is in local beers and local chat. Reserva una mesa ahora
A relaxed cosmopolitan atmosphere, locals and English visitors mix without barriers; plenty of ski connections to a family Olympic winner on the walls. Beer is cold but the reception warm. Plenty of great 70s and 80s music too. Worth spending time in...
If your French isn't perfect, stay away. You'll get belittled for not being a local. You'd think with the number of tourists here the owner would be a bit less nasty.
Had a good lunch and a few drinks). Staff were friend , food was fine and the location excellent if you just want to sit and watch the world go by.
