"A great new addition to Edmonton. Small but filled with charm. French bistro look with a cosy intimate setting. Enjoyed a beautiful Bordeaux by the glass and 2 features. Homemade past with truffles & pork with lentils. Both tasty. Need to reserve on the weekends but the bar is always open to walk ins."

I know the few reviews on TripAdvisor for this restaurant are mixed but considering TripAdvisor has Canadian Brewhouse ranked as #1 in Edmonton, I don't think it's really doing justice to a review of real restaurants. The purveyors of Bar Clementine are true masters of drink and food experiences. Sampled 4 different cocktails, the Pomme was a little bit of refreshing loveliness. Even went so far as to have absinthe as its Bar Clementines speciality. Being a liquorice abstainer, it was a tough decision but wanted the experience. And Bar Clementine didn't disappoint, making the experience worthwhile, even if the taste wasn't appreciated by my anti liquorice palate. Also had the Cabana, which c...

I was supposed to meet 2 people there at 7:30 pm on a Tuesday. I arrived first and expected a wait however was immediately sat at a table for 4. The host was very polite and friendly and even accommodating when only 1 of my pals showed up and we decided to sit at the bar. Our plan was to have drinks, share some food and chat. My friend ordered 3 different fancy cocktails throughout the evening which were all made with loving care right in front of us which was interesting in itself to watch. I had the Chablis as per the bartender's suggestion and it was a perfect recommendation. The menu is small however we shared several different dishes of cheese, meat, seafood to try a little of everythin...

A friend took my wife and I for dinner to Bar Clementine. He'd been there before; we hadn't (I'd never even heard of it). We tried several cocktails. The winner, for me, was one my wife chose: The Apple. This is a mixture of vodka and apple juice and something called Becherovka (and I didn't have a clue what that was) and a couple of other ingredients. It was delicious. We also enjoyed the food. We started off with several small plates, including one with crispy and pickled potatoes which was a new experience for me (I'd never heard of pickled spuds!). Then we tried several bigger plates, including sea bream tartare and Moullard duck, which was served sliced with a soft duck egg and shitake...

I agree with the name: this establishment is more bar than restaurant...but the food is very good for a bar.As expected, the cocktail list is excellent with lots of choices for spirits...including some exotic brands. The wine list also offers some interesting choices at good value. The menu is limited, but I enjoyed everything we ate: sourdough rye pancake, vegetables escalivar and duck were especially tasty. The ambience is interesting and appealing. As with most Edmonton restaurants, if you show up in winter, you will leave with your clothes smelling like the kitchen. Good ventilation is hard to achieve in cold climates!I would go here again... and plan for drinks + nibbles rather than a ful... Reserva una mesa ahora

Went here with some friends for food and drinks. The place is small but has a great atmosphere and menu and they do reservations. We sampled more than a few cocktails, all were beautifully presented and delicious. We tried a few items off the menu, the pancakes are a must try.Cons: not a lot of sharing type dishes, mostly small plates that are a bit difficult to divide up.Service was horrible, waiters stood around chatting with each other while water glasses sat empty and we had to re-request a few drinks that he forgot to bring over. When you're paying this much at a place you expect better

We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers this week at Bar Clementine. Be prepared for the unusual and it will be served with style, especially if you order the absinthe. The cocktails are outstanding. I would recommend the Provence, it's hardly sweet. This tiny bar has a great deal of character and is different from anything else in Edmonton. We ordered some appetizers which complimented the drinks nicely and were not typical dishes. It's a little on the high side for price but worth it if you enjoy a delicious, well-made cocktail.

Clementine has an interesting menu to say the least. Really interesting dishes. But holy **** is it good! The flavours are delicately balanced, but not delicate. Many of the flavours were quite rich.Portion sizes are small (the three of us shared three dishes, but we easily could've had another one or two. We ordered one more, but there was a mixup and it would've taken too long so we just left. The place is small, but has a hell of a lot of character. Can get noisy.

This bar has a great 1930's/40's bar vibe; old fashioned decor and good looking bartenders in suspenders and bow ties. It's definitely a YEG treasure. The one dish we split was amazing. Max occupancy is 35 so you have to get in early, and it's almost better to get a seat at the bar so you can engage in conversation with the bartender while he fashions your cocktail or drips water into your absinthe. Popped in on a Saturday night. Very loud active room. So loud could not visit...cocktails are 14$. seemed steep to me, but if you are into the cocktail scene...not a lot to choose from, had one drink that had maybe an ounce and a half of liquor if that...I would not go back, but again, the cocktail scene is not my thing.
