My first sojourn into Dulwich Hill in such a long time brought me here. A lovely weekend breaky/brunch joint with decent pavement dining space. Prompt and friendly service got my my coffee while I perused the menu. A surprising number of options that all looked good and suited my yearnings. I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham. Beautifully presented and quite tasty even if the excessive amount of sauce was a little off putting and unnecessary. The coffee was superb and well made and frankly ... left me thinking I should spend more brunch hunting here in the future.
Spoiled for choice in this area but I always go to Bar Valente. The coffee is consistently good and the service is friendly and prompt with no long waits for your morning caffeine fix. The food is basic but they cook their eggs well and everything is fresh. It is an unpretentious place, friendly and comfortable. You can sit outside with your dog and there are big umbrellas.

We have been coming to Bar Valente since the previous owner had it and the current owners have made it a friendly place with brilliant food and coffee. You cannot beat the value for the food - I bring visitors here and they say how good it is. The staff are always friendly and remember the way you like your coffee if you're a regular.

Gone here for years and have never been let down. The staff are extremely friendly and great people! The food and drinks are the best in Sydney and their great prices simply complement everything else that is so great. Honestly can't recommend more.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The coffee was fantastic and the service was top-notch. What more could you want from a dining experience?
Been coming here for 10 years. Super friendly staff, always up for a chat, a great range of comfort foods and a cute little pastry and cake display at the front. Cant stress enough how good these guys are!
This cafe in a friendly neighborhood has a wide menu and delicious food. There are many brunch choices available, along with freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. The coffee is also very good.
