This restaurant has a French SE Asia vibe going on. I'm normally quite anti "fusion" food as I've mostly been disappointed by the result of combining two or more culinary traditions but the Chef in Baracoa applies high quality French style cooking to SE Asian dishes with a French twist or French dishes with a SE Asian twist and on the evening we were there everything we ordered (I have to try samples of everything my family order!!) was stunningly presented and the flavours and quality produce met the expectations created by the presentation. In addition to the chef executing so well the front of house staff ensure the ambience is laid back and relaxed. There is a lovely outdoor eating area...
simply put, this experience was just perfect for me during my holiday in St Jean De Monts. Loved this restaurant so much, loved the service which was attentive and personal and efficient. Loved the food which was simply superb and really cant wait to go back to France next year so I can return to this wee gem of a restaurant. Please try to find it as it is so much better than any of the sea front options in my opinion. We moved onto Burgundy and yet I still prefer this restaurant.
The interior decor was very interesting with it's very Asian influence. The food was also very interesting and very themed although the kangaroo steak no longer on the menu. We had a pleasant meal although did not feel we had value for money and not our type of food,but, I have no doubt that others will enjoy, we will not rush back. The business card invites you to review on TripAdvisor (overconfident !!)
Been meaning to try here for a few years on the road to Notre Dam de Monts ambience slightly old ,menu was good starters of clams and fois gras were very good the duck was fine the sea bream insipid the deserts very good my younger companions had beef ,curry and prawns all were fine but left feeling not quite worth the detour

We had a great time in Baracoa, there is a wealthy menu and a really stunning foodThe restaurant itself is really beautiful, we were sat outside on a gorgeous terrasse and we were so well that we didn't want to leave!Thanks to the chief and his wife!
What can i say. I love good food and that's whay drove me to find and locate this restaurant without failure from the holiday resort we stayed in St. Jean de mont. A word of advise, please try out the kangaroo stake. Enjoy!!!
The food is amazing, we came here 3 times over the holidays. The service and atmosphere is perfect. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. (especially if you order the beef!!)
We had a lovely meal in this place. The food was interesting and tasty and service exceptional. Watch out for the Chile sauce!!!

Very nice, friendly staff ... you pay for the food at an expensive rate but it is worth it. Downside, very slow service
Fantastic food all round, but not you average prices. Great for that special treat or celebrate a lottery win!!!
