Baratta's Restaurant

We chose Baratta as a venue/Cateer for our 20th wedding. September. With regard to food, it cannot beat! We had a nice time sampling and selection from their menu, which we served at our wedding. We were able to have served two different pasta dishes, green beans and a salad in a buffet style, and it was great! The event planning and venue were also so beautiful. We started the process with Nick and then changed a few months before our wedding to work with Michelle. Hidden jewel on the south side of DSM. Food and service were excellent! Half an order homemade onion rings was more than enough for the 2 of us, we even had extras. We also shared the Cajun chicken and the fatuccine plate... the Cajun spice well mixed with the creamy fatuccine sauce. We were more than satisfied with our decisions. I would also suggest the Ananas Mule...yum!! We're coming back!

A fantastic Italian restaurant! The pasta is great, the creamy garlic dressing is very good, the chocolate cheese cake is incredible. The service is always excellent, the restaurant has a very comfortable feeling. They also offer best rib on Thursday evenings, which is as good as any I had in the Des Moines area

We loved our entrees. My date didn't care about the soup. The waitress heard this and took the bill off. She was amazing not to remember her name. It was super loud in there, so it was hard to hear each other when you talked

I have been to Baratta's before and always found it to be good, but was pleasantly surprised how much we received for the value at lunch yesterday. It was very good and I will be going back more often!

It’s not easy to find but this place is a gem! The Chicken Amaggio and pizzas are our favorites. Efficient and friendly servers and fair pricing. One of our favorite Italian eateries!
