Paris traffic is legendary but this restaurant is worth the drive. It's a bit away from the city center in a neighborhood and has the feel of a local meeting and dining place. There were a couple of guys playing handball in a small inner courtyard when we arrived. The chef was out front talking with some friends. It was all very welcoming and laid back. We were a group of six and decided to eat on the main floor. Upstairs there is a buffet which we took a look at. It looked great but so did the price fixed menu of €42. I had the lobster bisque. Incredible and obviously a long slow cooked stock. Very rich and complex. A friend had the chilled watercress soup. Excellent. Next I had the foie gr...

After months of works, the place offers now a new look, with still the same quality of food of course.A couple of tables outside in the patio offer the possibility to have drinks and finger food while enjoying the first sunny days at the end of the winter. We had a few poached scampi served with mayonnaise, then some home-made black pudding (excellent) and to finish, crayfish served with mashed potatoes.Decent size, but not too much, allowing you to enjoy a great cheese board, and/or beautiful desserts. The chocolate ganache is absolutely divine!Choice of different French wines from all regions, allowing you to discover some beautiful terroirs: Cote rotie, Corsica or Pic Saint Loup ...A very g...
I had lunch here today. Since it was a holiday weekend in Paris for Ascension Day the restaurant wasn't too crowded and I found a parking space right in front of it.I sat downstairs and had a glass of champagne for €9 which came with a small amuse-bouche.I then had the menu de dégustation for €42 which I found to be good value. You have a choice of two soups then a choice of starters and main dishes, a portion of cheese and finally a choice of dessert. The food was very good and nicely presented. The service was fine too.I had a 75cl carafe of white Saumur wine for €17 which was also good value.I can definitely recommend this restaurant to people visiting this area.Helpful tip: the restaurant...
As another reviewer explained, this is a two in one - more normal restaurant downstairs and buffet style upstairs. We were upstairs and it was a good experience - no menu, just a serve yourself feast! A starter buffet with salads, seafood and patés, then main courses served in a separate part of the room (choice of hearty stews, potatoes, big soups etc.) and a variety of desserts - iles flotant, crumble, pies etc. Seating is informal - there's one long table down the middle then others dotted around - and it's a fun experience with robust traditional French cooking. Service was exemplary and charming. The only thing I'd say against it is don't go if you're a veggie. Reserva una mesa ahora
Nice, warm and cosy atmosphere located in a suburb out of the touristic places. It is really worth the effort.Nice service, good view into the kitchen and a great wines list: you can also get up and choose your wine from the shelves: great thing to do!A the must is the food: extra fresh products, enhanced by a simple cooking and sometimes a light sauce, not the usual gravy...The cheese board is appetizing and the desserts are just great! My guest took a baba au rhum and enjoyed it! I had a chocolate mousse and it was just divine. If you have time for a spirit, there is a wonderful selection of Armagnac and try the eau de vie de houx.
Great little restaurant just off the periphique (Porte de Chatillon) near centre of ParisThe menu changes daily and arrives at your table on a small blackboard, always therefore fresh produce and imaginative dishesgood service and unique wine selectionAll the wines are displayed on shelves along one wall of the restaurant with the price chalked underneath it simply go and choose your bottle and put it on your table to be opened and servedI have eaten in here a couple of times and never been disappointed try it and see!!
Nice little restaurant : actually it is a 2 in 1 place. On the ground floor you will find a smallish restaurant that can seat about 30 with a small black board menu and on the first floor it is a table d'hôte restaurant wiht long table and a buffet type offer. All the food is made on site and is delicious. The price is good for at 22.5 euro the 3 course menu on the table d'hôte.The only problem is the car parking spaces : there is none and road size parking is very difficult.
Great restaurant. The food is all Home made it is great!!!! The part we were in was self service and as much as you want. Beware do not leave food on the plate, take what you want BUT eat it all otherwise you will have to pay a fine!!!!!! The decoration is rustic that lends itself to a warm ambiance. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I fully recommend this restaurant. Reserva una mesa ahora
This is a great place with a gorgeous buffet (this is in the upstair room). We had great starters, several meat meals and wonderful desserts. All you can eat for €25. You won't regret it.
In a nutshell...poor service and food that had zero lustre - no seasoning no salt in the food just very very bland! Is this a reflection of french cuising?? I hope not!
