Four of us came out at short notice on a mid-Feb dank evening for a birthday. Generally quiet but enough people around to make the settings for both the drinks in the Refectory and the meals across in the BK feel jolly and affable. We had a really good time stretched well over three hours. The cocktails worked well and the friendly efficient staff in the restaurant together with the first rate food and wines combined for perfect birthday supper. The cocktail prices blur in the memory but the BK part cost us not much over £70 each. No reservations at all. BK remains part of our small handful of favoured and reliable Plymouth restaurants.
Warm and pleasant welcome, clean and safe environment, good service and lovely food what more could you ask for. This is a beautifully situated restaurant in the famous Barbican area of Plymouth and the restaurant was full and tge atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious. All amenities were excellent and we had an excellent night, thank you Barbican Kitchen.

Lovely environment and food.we booked for our special dinner and it didn't disappoint. Food wine and service was the best. Always very polite. The pork main was perfect.

In all the years I have lived in Plymouth, I had never dined at this restaurant. It definitely met my expectations with its great food and excellent service.
Disclaimer: I am writing this review while under the influence and by myself. However, I must say, this is hands down the best steak I have ever had.
Excellent meals, we chose the 3 course menu that's a special price if ordered before 7.30pm. Great value for money, I would recommend this place.
Had a fantastic meal . Great service and food was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection. Will be back.

While this may be the smaller version of Tanners, it is not significantly cheaper as one might expect.
