Barcola Bistro - Reserva de mesa

Our favorite Barista, Filippo, recommended this small bistro next door. It happened to be "Sophia Loren" night. The napkins were printed photos with the quote " everything I have I owe to spaghetti", and an old B&W film was projecting on the wall. The atmosphere was great, the music jazzy, the aromas wafting from the kitchen, enticing.The menu changes daily it seems. We had salad and pasta, cooked like at home, simple and delicious, if a little sparse on the plate. The hostess found us an exquisite whote wine, her last bottle. When she learned we had already reserved for the next weekend, she confessed she would mot have that wine in stock.Sure enough, we returned with another crowd one week...

We recently discovered that small Italian trattoria and we were amazed at the good quality and value it offers.Menu is on a blackboard and not too extensive but has 2-3 pasta dishes (primi) and 2-3 meat/fish plates (secondi), plus a few starters and deserts. Everything is well made. The size of the plates compares to good sized tapas (or a little more); the staff suggested we order 2-3 each, but that might be too much.We usually order 3-4 for the two of us. They offer wines by the glass and they have a nice cocktail selection though we haven't tried any.They also have outdoor seating, but we prefer inside; we just love the old time ambiance.Will return without hesitation.

My experience at this restaurant was amazing. I loved the intimate vibe with brick walls. Even though there were only six tables, the service from the lone waitress was exceptional. The food was incredibly tasty and the cocktails were excellent. The jazz music in the background added to the fantastic ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice ambiance. Great experience from a family owned and operated small restaurant. The ambiance is great. Vinyl records around that you can buy. Great vinyl records playing in the background. Very good food. I liked the simple meat or fish three course meal option. Reserva una mesa ahora
