This was a great dinner spot on the Friday night my wife and I arrived in Fairfax for the first time. It had all the qualities we were looking for, a great dinner menu, indoors seating, full bar, and a location right in the downtown area. The service was outstanding, with Tyrone taking care to make sure we were happy and well fed, and he was very informative and knowlegeable of the menu and the specials. The food was top notch, the salmon special was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, the Crab Cakes were exquisite, and the meatballs were tender and delicious. Our family really enjoyed dinner. Their food and service were excellent. We ordered NY steak, Rum chops and fish chips. We were satisfied that each side meal's vegetables were seasoned with a different good taste, so we enjoyed all of the food there. In addition, their Panna Cotta is also really delicious. Next morning we went there to have our breakfast and to order Lunch box, because of their good foods and services. To enjoy their food, our family will surely go on a trip to Marin County again. There is lots of food on the menu, I want to try their Italian meal on my next visit.
After our hike we stopped by to have dinner and we were so pleased with the service. The quality of the food was excellent very fresh and great portion size! Chef Alex really makes the food taste delicious you can tell he loves what he does! Ty was our waiter very attentive. Tony the owner even came by to chat with us and made sure everything was good. He made me a latte that was great, even had a cute heart art on the top! I will be back to try the breakfast and lunch menu!
The service was warm and welcoming, and the dinner menu along with the wine selection were outstanding. Chef Tony and his team went above and beyond to provide us with an intimate dining experience. Our food was served hot and fresh, made with high-quality ingredients, and there were plenty of great vegetarian options available. The pappardelle was exceptional! Don't miss the Panna Cotta for dessert!

A fantastic café in Fairfax! We stopped by for a late lunch before heading to the Bicycling Museum. I had a Reuben sandwich and a California burger, both paired with iced tea and cappuccino, and everything was excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive.
I’ve driven by this place countless times and finally went in to eat. Why did I wait so long?!?!?! Service was awesome, food was amazing, and portions were huge!!!! This will now be a regular stop when I’m in the area.
We love Barefoot Cafe! The staff is fantastic, especially Tony, the manager, who is the best. The cioppino and burgers are delicious, and the fries are excellent. The panna cotta is absolutely amazing!
Great place for brunch! They have inside and outside seating great for families with dogs or babies .

2nd time there. Great menu w choices even for a vegan, like me. staff is great just like the food.
