Die Bärenbadalm war eine Enttäuschung von Anfang bis Ende. Es gibt nur ganz wenige gemütliche Sitzplätze in engen Räumen (für Menschen mit Skischuhen und Skiklamotten zu eng); dafür viele Stehplätze in einem großen Raum mit Fernsehbildschirmen in den Ecken und einige Sitzplätze sozusagen im Flur ohne Fenster. Dazu eine Raumgestaltung mit Küche und Tresen, die an eine Großkantine im Finanzamt Bielefeld denken lässt, nicht an eine gemütliche Almhütte.Es war außer in den gemütlichen Räumen auch recht kalt und zugig, sodass man sich nicht von der Piste aufwärmen konnte, sondern gerade durchgefroren aus der Mittagspause kommt.Der Service war eine Vollkatastrophe. Es gibt einiges, was in dieser Hütte schön und einmalig ist. Zunächst ist die Lage sehr zentral und gut zu erreichen - also mittendrin im Jochberger Skigebiet. Dann ist einfach die Aussicht auf die Berge spektakulär. Bei Sonne ist die Terasse unschlagbar, unter anderem auch weil sie südlich ausgerichtet ist. Aber auch drinnen fühlt sich jeder wohl. Die Einrichtung ist zwar stilgerecht, aber trotzdem modern und chic. Das Essen schmeckt immer und auf der Karte findet jeder sein Gericht. Die Preise sind zwar schon etwas sportlich, aber für das was geboten wird - absolut im Rahmen. Visit Kitz, Saalbach, Zell am See and Kaprun. That was the most expensive place we ate. I had the ribs from a local producer. Probably the worst ribs in Austria were. At least the worst I had in my life.... The Bolognese my friends had was almost without meat with sauces. The “mac n-cheese” should be good. This was also the only place where we went that we did not accept cards. While other places absorb the card processing costs in their prices, this place sent me to an ATM they had installed (they have an ATM up there, but no card terminals! , that was one of those who were the owner fee extra on what the card provider does.
This is a great venue for a beer in the sun. A table is worth the wait as it can be busy when the sun is out. The food was also great. As others have said, the pork ribs are excellent (and the quantity of meet on them doesn't disappoint) and the steak salad was also very nice.

This is our favorite cabin to stop, and we think the best in the whole ski area. Good breakfast, best coffee and excellent spare ribs. Best if you have a place in the room with the sofas through the open fire very...comfortably!

This cozy restaurant with great views offers good food and delicious hot chocolate. Only downside is that they only accept cash.
Such a nice place to hang out after a few runs. Fantastic Barley suppe, Kasspatzl, spinaknodel. Views to die for!
