Barkeep’s Eatery Taps

Normally when I come here (which is about maybe once every few months) I have a pleasant experience. Tonight was not what I normally experience here. The customer service was okay but I ordered what I always order, the keeps burger no special sauce pepperjack cheese no veggies with fries. I have never received a burger from this establishment where it was pink in the middle. The bun was so soggy on the bottom as well. I didn't even get upset about that. I simply asked the waitress if I could have a toasted bottom bun and she took it to the back and I got a new bottom bun (not toasted) but it was okay. Then I took a bite if my burger and it was good. Barkeeps is a hidden gem! I frequent Palm Beach gourmet restaurants and Chef Siva’s food and elegant presentation rivals many of those! The atmosphere in Barkeeps is very basic and simple, which makes the excellent food even more of a surprise! I’ve read a few reviews about the service not being the greatest this is a small rural college town, with most employees working hard to put themselves through school. The prices are low, so please take that all into account before criticizing the service. They are the nicest people around. If you haven’t tried Barkeeps, you must! Get the salmon and fried rice!

Came here upon Google's suggestion for Asian food. However, I didn't realize that this Asian fusion. My husband and I both ordered pork ramen. It's more like a BBQ pork soup with noodles and veggies. Tasted good, just wasn't what I was hoping for. The egg included in the ramen wasn't cooked through. On the plus side, we ordered the Nashville hot wings as an appetizer and that was delicious! Also, our waitress, Nicole, was very friendly and helpful.

we loved it! the children loved it! my 9-year-old always asks to go back. service was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant! definitely come back. it was unexpected when we saw the name and the bar asiate. we were pleasantly surprised. our realtor olivia suggested it and I will never ask her judgment again

Barkeeps brings flavor and top notch cuisine at a relatively affordable price. Absolutely love their food. Best restaurant in Nacogdoches.
