A staple of the LA scene, Barney's has been around for quite a long time. The menu at one point in time was rather extensive, and printed like a newspaper. At this point in time, the menu has been paired way down. One would think this might afford the opportunity for exploring the recipes and improving them, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Take the Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise is very thick, and although the flavour was okay, do we need another glop of seemingly canned sauce. The poached eggs had a rather strong taste of vinegar that overpowered most of the other flavors in the dish. I assume it was the water used for poaching that gave off the highly acidic tang. We were there on a Saturday night, the place was pretty busy. It was certainly very loud. The server was friendly but not overly attentive. The beer was good. I was disappointed in my hamburger. I got the Barney Burger which consisted of two wafer-thin Patties on a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce, a tomato slice, and some sweet pickles which I didn't like I would have preferred Dill. I've been coming here on and off for years and I seem to remember their burgers being a little more impressive than the thing I got the other night. I won't go out of my way to come back.
Cool Fun place, great to dine with friend and enjoy a beer and a game of pool after dinner. I must say that the service is good but a bit slower on busy evenings.. which I can understand. The good thing is, even when it’s crazy packed, they still keep their cool, and that is awesome Food is good, I had the ultimatum Burger , and this one was really nice. 1 IMPORTANT ting the need to address are the idiots outside and on the porch smoking weed and stinking up the whole place. Disgusting
Come for the nostalgia, learn about the history, stay for the outstanding food, and leave, because you don’t want to end up like Janis Joplin! The food is so delicious. I always try the ribs and chili. My hubby loves the pizza. Apparently this is the last place that Janis Joplin dined at. But knowing this place’s food quality and also her drug habit, I can safely say she passed with a happy stomach!

Gonna start off with the cons: burger was weirdly sweet. So we’re the fries. Still satisfying tho. The pros: easy to get a table, a lot of variety, etc. but the real star? Johnny. I came in about to pass out, and he took incredible care of us. Quick, kind, and fun, I literally don’t know what we would’ve done without him. Johnny, you saved us. Thank you. You need a raise.
Food rating 4, Service 2. Mostly good food and plentiful portions, but prices are high! Tonight’s burger and steak fries were almost perfect, but the guacamole lacked freshness. Slow and inattentive service has happened every time. And just once, I’d like to see a host detached from their mobile.
This place is so cool, don’t find that many bars like this one anymore. Food is really good, fries are bomb and also the buffalo fried chicken sandwich is so good. Service is kind but slow and often leaves dishes for a long time on the table, so that’s the reason for 4 stars.
This place is insane! And by insane, I mean INSANELY GOOD! No joke, best hot dog I've ever had IN MY LIFE. My go-to is the patty melt hot dog, fries and the fried Oreos! My fiancé thinks the patty melt is better than the chili cheese dog, although both are delicious.

Super fun spot to hangout. Service is not the best especially at night since it’s BUSY. pool, arcade, karaoke, trivia all make up for it. Food is good depending on what you get! it’s definitely worth a fun night in West Hollywood
