Barrel 67 - Reserva de mesa

The day were were there, they were introducing a new menu. Essentially, it is the same menu with higher prices. There are a couple of typos on the new menu, i.e some things no longer offered were on the new menu, and some new offerings were not on the menu. so you may have a few questions for the waitsaff when you order. The tables here are old wine casks, hence the 'Barrel" part of the name. It is at 67 Murray, so now the name becomes less oblique. Parking is around back in an unpaved gravel lot, shared by other businesses, but appeared ample on the day we were there.Behind the restaurant is a patio area, hidden behind a well manicured cedar tree hedge of sufficient height to offer privacy...

We live in town and never heard of this place until an out of town friend was visiting the area and she is the one who told me about this place! (She lives in Sudbury and was visiting another friend and was highly impressed by her dinner!). I had Sauvignon blanc wine and my husband enjoyed the Long Island iced tea drink specials. This was an incredible deal. $4 a glass! And he said it was really good! Place was picking up after we sat. Patio was completely booked. Menus are just paper and look like to go menus. Like another similar Review in here, we went there on a Friday just shortly before dinner. Just my wife and I and another couple. When we entered the Restaurant there were 3 other people in these (not busy). We were immediately asked if we had Reservations. We confirmed we did not, We were told they could not accommodate us, as Reservations were required. We continued on and attended another nearby Restaurant where we were treated excellent. A month ago, just my wife and I decided to stop in and grab a quick Burger. With only 2 people in the Restaurant, we were sure we would be served. Nope. Again, we were asked if we has Reservations and we said no, but we would be in and out in 30-minutes....

My wife and I have dined twice at Barrel 67. I have tried two of their burgers and haven't been disappointed either time. They produced "Stuffed" burgers which so far for me have been fabulous. The first time I tried their Cartel burger, which is stuffed with Jalapeno Jack cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato and onion as well as a deep fried slice of cheese. The second time I had the Spicy Pineapple Bacon which is stuffed with pineapple, bacon, jalapeno and cream cheese, topped with lettuce tomato and onion as well. As a side I had their poutine which to be honest, is the main reason I went back. While the burgers are fantastic, the poutine is unbelievable! My wife had a chicken quesadill... Burgers are fantastic but the apps are disgusting. I paid 25 for a platter I bit into one water came out they tasted like cheap store bought frozen apps although the fresh dip is delicious which I did tell the waitress as well. I did tell the waitress after as I did not want to embarrass anyone. She just stared at me and said nothing. Gave us our bill and that was it. Our whole table was in shock that she said nothing. The only reason I'm giving a 3 star is that the owner did call me and apologize but she did say to me well I have to tip my girl now as you did not and should have. Why would I tip if I had terrible service and waitress couldn't even apologies or suggest a discount or somethin...

Went to Barrell 67 this past Saturday for dinner. Arrived for our reservation and proceeded to order drinks, and made a comment to the waiter that we wanted to order food since it took a while for the drinks to show up. After a long wait we ordered food. It took over a hour for our food to arrive, which wouldn't have been so bad if the waiter would have given us updates or explained that our food was going to be delayed. They should have brought out some free snacks to tie us over until the meals arrived, but no offer was made, nor was there a discount on our bill for the long wait.Disgusting customer service. We had a reservation but got in early. We sat at the bar and in the next 45 minutes, were not offered a drink, not even water. We were then seated 15 minutes past our reservation time. The restaurant was packed. The waitress was polite and apologetic. The wait staff was clearly overwhelmed (that was the word the wait staff used) and not managing the volume. It took another hour wait to receive our meals. Burgers are good, but that kind of slow, inattentive service doesn't make it worth it. No offer of a discount or any type of comp whatsoever. We spoke directly to the wait staff and she had nothing but excuses to offer.

See Anna for all dets relating to your order.. super kind lady. Makes you feel at home. Ordered a la carte for both entrées for us. Stuffed burgers with avocado, feta and sweet potato fries pour moi and Bacon, pepperoni with the reg fries for my significant other. Look at the pics!! Yum onto yum and whole pile'o'fries. Get me a hammock cause I need a nap after that.. there are a ton of choices and that chalk board menu really puts you in a hungry mood fast.. if you sit to the right of the bar you can see into their kitchen... hope to eat there again! I tried this restaurant a short while ago, seems that the reviews are speaking for themselves. Im not going to waste my time rating this place. The burgers were okay, not fantastic tasting, rather pricey too. Noticed a strange smell, not making this up, not a nice smell either. They need to correct this, or are going to lose business. Enough said, go to Gilligan's, they have great tasting burgers.

Upon coming in, slow reception. Both burgers were overpriced and saturated in juices. Which left the bun soggy. Bruschetta was nice although the baguette it was served on was soggy as well. The Ceaser salad was very soggy. The gravy was decent but I've had better. The only thing that impressed me was the decor of the historical building. Felt I had to say something!!
