Barrington's Jamaican Kitchen

I was in the city to see the mandible flowers and came over this place on yelp. I was surprised and excited to find here a real Caribbean restaurant (purchased, I know very little about bakersfield). first eat. we ordered the Ruck chicken plate. they get jerking, tearing and raging, carving and fried plantains for $10. the chicken was moist and they can really taste the seasoned. the best part for me was the tangy sauce that he poured on the huh. I wish I had asked extra. they have a few tables outside with sun umbrellas they can sit and dinate, but most of them went through while we were there. barrington is the boss and the name of this hole in the wall. he was incredibly friendly. great people, generous amount of food, 2 seats in the open to enjoy the sunset in a fenced area of a parking lot. first time you asked for a sampler, and has so much tasty to taste! a family member who doesn't like meat ate the half of another box of browned chicken rice I ordered? ruck huh was tasteful and juicy-brown huh was delish, but not so moist. still delicious, although curry huhn was great. what should I come back? define the ochs and curry goat. I'm a big fan of goats and that was right and I'm not a fan of ochs tails, but that was so done right. ? and they gave us free so. what?! more beautiful boxing stop our road trip. Been here a couple of times and tried the beef patties, jerk chicken, their veggie plate and now the curry goat and oxtails. Just good food period! The young lady that works there on the weekends even gave us a sample of the brown-stew chicken OMGee that dish there is the bomb-diggity. Yep I said that. lol We’ll get that next visit and try something else different as well. Pleasant people who work there. Thanks for being in Bakersfield. We don’t have many places like this here.

this place is amazing and they can feel the love they put in their crafts when they eat their food. they are happy and love what they do and there is a rare experience in bakersfield. I support this business and intend to eat as much as I can. jrk huhn was amazing, reis was amazing, they have the best cauliflower I have eaten in my life oh, and I loved the plantains. support their local business and support them these great people who make wonderful food for us.

want to eat a homemade Jamaican, stop from this mother and pop place. I tried her jerk and the dame gave me a rehearsal of the curry hens and it just melted in her mouth and the kartoffels were boiled to perfection. every meal comes with rice and buoyant, cauliflower, curtains and soda. I will be back at the weekend to try her ochs tail safely.
