At long last more quality Mexican food has come to Australia. Barrio Chino is up with the best. Great food, well priced and great service. We were staying nearby and walked past several times. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and thought we must give it a try. I went here with a group of friends and had the $55 banquet. None of the food was particularly special or amazing, but it was all nice. The standout for me was the ceviche. I would still recommend the $55 banquet as it's good value for money and let's you try a bit of everything.The staff were friendly however it would have been nice if they had of explained each dish are it was put on the table.There are different specials available throughout the week e.g. $15 mains on Tuesdays, $25 all you can eat tacos on Wednesdays or $10 tortas and burgers on Thursdays so I would be keen to try some different menu items as the reviews I have read for Barrio Chino appear to be quite positive and I want...
Recently went to Sidney with a group of friends and stopped into Barrio Chino for a meal on our first night. We opted for a banquet style, and it more than lived up to our expectations. The venue was well presented with a great atmosphere. The food came out at a steady pace, and it was all delicious. I particularly enjoyed the corn on the cob which was sensational, while the fish taco was also terrific. We drinks service was also excellent and we walked away very satisfied with the food and the service provided. Happily recommend for large groups looking for a good night out.
Great Value burgers!On this visit the signature Barrio Burger lived up to its name, since it was $10 burger night, it was worth giving the Sweet Bacon Blues a sample also! Timing of this visit was early evening with minimal patrons. The menu looks balanced with your burger staples and fries, amongst the mexican fare. Service was okay and food did come out reasonably quickly.Medium well done beef and all fresh ingredients on both burgers.May consider another visit soon.

Took a group of about 12 people here on a Saturday night a couple weeks ago (12th December). The place was extremely busy. There was quite a wait for the food and when you have this many people it gets a bit chaotic - difficult for everything ordered to be given to the right people, timing of dishes etc. We still really enjoyed it, but the experience was better when I had gone with just a couple of friends a couple of months earlier.
Busy and happening restaurant minutes from Kings Cross Station. Seating is tight and it's noisy in there but diners are rewarded with delicious, fresh Mexican food. It was perfect for our Xmas party for 20. The set menus are excellent value and the food has surprisingly diverse flavours and is lovingly prepared.
The food is so tasty, I had corn on the cob, with fetta, which was amazing, I also had a Pulled pork Tortilla. It's looks small at the front of the restaurant but there is heaps of room out the back.Amazing food at a great price, my daughter eats there all the time and took me there.
The corn on the cob and the watermelon margarita were the best things ever! The quesadillas, tacos, everything! I loved the cantonese-mexican fusion, and it had a great atmosphere. I am very sad Barrio has closed down, please add the corn to your pop-up stall menu?

First time i ordered here a take away through supper time, i had pulled chicken and pork burrito both are tasty and yummy, will diffinitely order again.
Great value burgers! Nice service, drinks...everything! One of my favourite places to eat on a Friday night!
