loved my first experience at bartellas and will be...often! beautiful place, great friendly service. also my little dog was very welcome and could sit with me in the restaurant, they immediately brought her a bowl of water! I have eaten with my dad (meat dinner) and mum (lacto intolerant) and my partner and me both vegan. I loved it that there is a separate vegan menu with many options, there is also a separate menu for no lacto, gluten-free as well. the food was really delicious and my partner and I were so surprised to find this place in a small Kent village! will be back and a nice trip through apple top gardens to get there too! 100% recommend go! updated from previous review on 2017-07-...
I have visited Bartellas a few times now and it is a lovely local spot for us. The service is always outstanding and the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately, this time we were disappointed with the food. My husband ordered the duck starter, but there was not much duck inside. For his main course, he had the liver which is usually a good portion size, but this time it was smaller and left him hungry. While we knew that Bartellas is not a cheap restaurant, we believe they need to improve their portion sizes to maintain their reputation. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
we would like to thank ian, the personal and our personal waiter marco yesterday. we held our ruby high-time anniversary in the private dining room suite above. eating was absolutely excellent. the quality of service brilliant and attentive staff made it first class. nothing was rushed and we could enjoy a very relaxed eating in our free time with family and friends. the additional hauch of a birthday contract with candle was a beautiful thought. Thank you for remembering our day. for this extra special day we recommend very well. marco, you were really amazing.

This place is my favourite and by far one of the best restaurants in the country. They have a lovely variety of soul nourishing dishes and the service is always on point. They cater well for allergies and the portion sizes are perfect. Thank you Bartellas for always keeping up a consistent quality of food and service. it is a very nice restaurant, much friendly staff. I was offered a separate vegan menu with several options for each cure. all the dishes were beautifully plated. my man chose the chili he said was delicious, but it was too sharp for me. I had the sweet potato corma which was very creamy and luxurious. would be a good choice for a special dinner, jubilee or Valentine's Day, which I think.
we ate in this restaurant with friends and we were all very impressed by the 5* service large selection of alcohol and a large selection of menu was eating hot enough portion size excellent presentation and very good taste we would recommend to eat this place and we will definitely return soon
